VW Alternator/Generator Pulley Shim, .50mm
Adjustment shims for the alternator or generator pulley, fits between the pulley halves and the pulley washer to tighten or loosen the fan belt.
Installation Note: When installing pulley shims it is critical that you use the proper amount of shims between the pulley halves and the remaining shims go behind the pulley nut washer. The pulley nut should not bottom out on the shaft, this would require more shims. 8-10 shims are generally required to properly shim the pulley and adjust the belt tension. Example: When using 8 shims (2 shims between pulley halves and 6 shims behind the pulley nut washer or vise versa).
